clay pipe

Description

Identification note: date: November, 1987

Identification note: original relationship of find spot to storage was muddled before collection was given to Museum Service. As much as possible has been done to preserve the remaining data. Find spots marked on pipes seem to be the only reliable data. Pipes rejected by HOR but found to have a mark are included in the collection from his 'unmarked' box

Summary: clay pipe bowl fragment, made by Gabriel Bayley, of Amesbury, Wiltshire, late 17, early 18th century, found at Brinkworth, Wiltshire
