Description

Summary: 1 box of Early Saxon iron objects. 1 large nail with shaft tapering to a point and curved back on itself, with traces of textile at the head, 1 piece of iron rod, bent into a hook shape and witth a flat wedge shape corroded to the end and 4 pieces of iron rod. From the pagan Saxon cemetery called 'Black Patch' at Blacknall Field, Pewsey, Wiltshire, excavated by Ken Annable and the Wiltshire Archaeological and Natural History Society, 1969-1976.
