Description

Summary: 1 Iron Age piece of worked iron. Flat and oval in shape with a rod at each end bent at right angles to the base. Identified in the excavation report as a cleat. From Pit 35 at the early Iron Age settlement (early La Tene period) at Swallowcliffe Down, Swallowcliffe, Wiltshire. Excavated by Dr R C C Clay, 1925.
