Description

Summary: The ceramic vessel assemblage found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. Sherds from context D1, the fill of a middle iron age ditch. The assemblage contains 2 extremely fragmentary middle iron age sherds.

The ceramic vessel assemblage from context D1, found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. The material comes from the fill of a ditch of middle iron age date.
