Description

Summary: 1 set of Early Saxon iron purse rings, possibly 5 but all corroded together, fragments of a plain weave fabric can be seen adhering to the rings in several places, from the pagan Saxon cemetery called 'Black Patch' at Blacknall Field, Pewsey, Wiltshire, excavated by Ken Annable and the Wiltshire Archaeological and Natural History Society, 1969-1976.
