handaxe

Description

Summary: 1 finely made flint handaxe of the pointed Wymer Type F variety, heavily iron-stained to a deep ochre colour and with high polish, probably from river action. An oblique chip is missing from the base, this damage was from antiquity, there is also bifacial sharpening around the edges. Found midway between Woodborough Hill and Picket Hill, Woodborough, Wiltshire.
