Description

Summary: Medieval silver finger ring rounded in shape and squashed on one side, probably dating between 13th and 14th century AD. The bezel is circular in shape and flat in section. It is decorated with a cross standing at the centre of a circle that follows the edges of the bezel. Four diagonal lines depart from the circle and converge toward the centre of the cross. On each shoulder of the ring is a zoomorphic head with prominent ears and snouts. Found in Collingbourne Kingston in 2016.
