bath stone

Description

Summary: 1 narrow block with broken back face and four smooth-dressed faces and a prominant round moulding on the carved frontal face which has an almost imperceptible off-vertical stance suggesting the stone was the starting point for a doorway / window top curvature particularly as the top and bottom surfaces slope inwards. Found at Monkton Farleigh Priory, Monkton Farleigh, Wiltshire.
