Description

Identification note: The enamel has been damaged since the finder washed the pendant under the tap! See photos

Summary: Complete Medieval copper-alloy enamelled horse harness pendant, dating to c. AD 1275 - 1350. It would have hung from either the bridle or reins. The enamel decoration is of a long-necked bird, possibly a crane, surrounded by stylised green foliage and blue and red flowers. Found in Enford, 2021
