Description

Summary: Anglo-Saxon gold object dating to the early 7th century AD. Comprising a rectangular strip decorated with an interlaced design and beaded wire. It was once fixed to another artefact through the surviving attachment hole. The strip itself is largely complete, with four finished edges and a complete border. In size and decoration it resembles a number of rectangular filigrees from the Staffordshire Hoard. Found in Urchfont in 2014
