Description

Summary: Assemblage of Romano-British pottery including samian, New Forest, Castor and Upchurch wares, flanged rim bowls, mortaria, wall daub and flooring, as well as gaming counters made out of pottery sherds, and hones and rubbing stones, found on the ground surface of the plateau at Knap Hill Causewayed Enclosure, Alton, Wiltshire, excavated by Mr B H and Mrs M E Cunnington in 1908-09.
