Description

Summary: 1 English art pottery jug with convex sides, plain rim and lip, plain handle, flat base, glazed inside and to base with pale blue, on outside in darker blue, the body reserved with scrolled panel supporting a panel of fish, carp, amongst bubbles and weeds in Art Nouveau style design painted in blocks of blue, brown and green on a stippled ground of paler blue, manufactured by Alexander Lauder, Lauder and Smith, Barnstaple, Devon, 1876 - 1914, acquired from the McLaren Foundation, Clouds Estate, East Knoyle, Salisbury, Wiltshire, 2005.
