bayonet

Description

Summary: Bayonet from a Mauser rifle. The Gewehr 98 Mauser bolt action rifle was the standard issue service rifle for the German infantry throughout World War I. Brought back from the First World War by the donors uncle, perhaps it was a trophy, taken from a dead or captured German soldier.
