Description

Summary: A small assemblage of slag most likely from a smithy. Archive associated with a trial trench evaluation at Malmesbury, Avon Mills by Northamptonshire Archaeology (now MOLA Northampton). The fieldwork confirmed the veracity of the earlier geophysical survey and a number of late Iron Age/early Romano-British ditches and pits, and Post-medieval field boundaries. A small amount of finds were recovered. MAM11
