Description

Summary: 20 iron balls used by Blue Circle Cement, Westbury, Wiltshire, in the milling process, further griding up chalk after it had been through a mill to make it finer. These are discarded when worn and mixed with the chalk used in patching roads, found on the Beacon Hill track, Bromham
