Description

Identification note: Note: see also two letter from A. H. Lyell to Maud Cunnington dated 16th identifying the the samples of charcoal and 17th December 1922 that refers to 2 grains being of wheat not barley.

Summary: 2 boxes of charcoal samples identified as from holly, apple, oak, ash, elder, willow, maple, and holm oak, from the Iron Age period, from All Cannings Cross Farm, All Cannings, Wiltshire. Excavated by Mr B H Cunnington and Mrs M E Cunnington, 1911-22.
