Identification note: NB micaceous schist (not sandstone)

Summary: 1 whetstone or honing stone with blunted conical distal end, possibly broken at proximal end, fine sandstone, from the Medieval period, 72mm x 24mm, from an exploratory excavation to determine the source of the folk memory of a castle in Calne, carried out by the Wiltshiire Archaeological & Natural History Society Archaeological Field Group, 2010.
