Summary: The first two cards are of Manton House, Marlborough. Both are published by Eggleton and Co., Fancy Stores, Marlborough.There are very small numbers printed on the front of each card;- 205,560 J.V. and 205, 559 J.V. The first card is of the Courtyard and the second card shows gardens and the back of the house with an adjoining conservatory.The third card is a back view of Upcot House, Marlborough, showing some of the garden.The fourth card is of Littlefield, Marlborough. It shows the back of the house which has four floors, but the view of part of the ground and first floor is obscured by bushes and trees in the foreground.The fifth card is a side view of Cotton House, Marlborough, and the sixth card is a back view of The Priory, Marlborough,showing the gardens. These four cards have no named publisher or photographer, but there are small numbers printed on the front:-625/7, 625/9, 625/12 and 625/8.The seventh card shows The Castle and Ball Hotel, Marlborough. The name of the hotel is printed on the front and also the words C.H. Leader, Proprietor. There is no named photographer or publisher but there is a clear postmark 10.15 AM JA 23 04.
