Description

Summary: 1 lower part of a simple scabbard chape with decoration on front face of a zig-zag line. Reverse - overlapping joint soldered - zig-zag line, four incised notches at tip enable the metal to be folded over and closed, from Ludgershall Castle, a Medieval Royal Castle and hunting lodge in East Wiltshire, excavated by Peter Addyman and Southampton University, 1964-1972.
