Identification note: A excavation at the base of Silbury Hill by Mr Alfred Pass in 1887. Flint knife, flint flakes, burnt flints, sarsen and animal bones etc found.

Summary: Charcoal from the black layer of Shaft No. 5, from the meadow at the base of Silbury Hill, Avebury, Wiltshire, excavated by Mr Alfred C Pass in 1887.
