A small fragment of decorated prehistoric pottery, excavated from Beckhampton Road Longbarrow by Paul Ashbee in 1964. The fragment has brown-buff exterior surfaces and a reduced black core, and is decorated with a zig-zag band of double impressions. No context is known for this sherd, and it is not illustrated or discussed in the 1979 publication of the site. The sherd may be from a beaker, in which case it may be related to a barbed-and-tanged arrowhead from the roundbarrow fill, and could indicate the presence of a beaker-period grave destroyed by cultivation.
