Description

Summary: 4 roughly shaped objects of chalk, two with preforations and two with holes on opposite sides, but not fully perforated, which may have been used as drill steadiers or breast pieces of bow drills, from the Iron Age period, from the early Iron Age settlement (early La Tene period) at Swallowcliffe Down, Swallowcliffe, Wiltshire. Excavated by Dr R C C Clay, 1925.
