Description

Summary: 2 body sherds glued together, in a thick walled black fabric with large flint inclusions, with a brown exterior and a black interior, undecorated except for an impressed groove on the larger sherd, possibly Windmill Hill ware, from West Kennet Long Barrow, Avebury, Wiltshire, excavated by Professor Stuart Piggott and his staff and students at the Department of Prehistoric Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh, 1955-56.1
