Research results

A piece of Bronze Age worked antler, found by William Cunnington when he excavated the eastern mound of the conjoined round barrow Roundway G5b in the 1850s. The antler was found with a dagger, its sheath, a set of gooved stones and bone spatulae, as well as some other objects. The antler is damaged, but has a perforation at one end and was probably used as a handle.
