Description

Identification note: All 3 barrows previously excavated by J Thurnam in 1860, see WAM VI, p.323.

Summary: 2 pieces of polished bone, one midshaft femur, one animal metatarsal, found sitting on chalk in base of filling of Neolithic pit, from round barrow G61, Roughridge Hill, Bishops Cannings, Wiltshire, excavated by Mrs E Proudfoot, 1964.
