Summary: Schooner 'The Kelso', colour photograph of a painting by Thomas Chidgey, Master Mariner and marine artist. The original painting is displayed in Watchet Market House Museum. The schooner Kelso was built in 1867 in Souris Prime, Prince Edward Island, Canada, by John Douse, son of William Douse, it was owned by the Belsey family and worked out of Watchet Harbour. The ship was lost in a storm in 1893 while returning from Ireland
