Description

Summary: photograph, exterior view of a brick mansion, built 1723, south side, two storeys. The wings are of chequered brick with ribbed quoins. It was formerly the home of the Duke of Somerset who died in 1750. Then the house became the Castle Inn. In 1843 it was sold to Marlborough College, C House, Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, 1957
