Description

Summary: 1 Collared Urn (one of the finest vessels in the musuem) with a band of cord impressed chevrons and a band of cross-hatching around the collar (each bordered by deep double lines), two cord impressed lines around the inner rim and a band of chevrons and a band of lozenge-shaped decoration also bordered by deep double lines (with five lines below them around the waist), found with a primary inhumation (at feet) in Bowl Barrow Wilsford G7, excavated by William Cunnington
