weaving comb

Description

Summary: 1 weaving comb made from antler with straight sides ending in a squared butt which is pierced by a hole 5mm in diameter, and only two of the eleven teeth are remaining, from the Iron Age period, from the early Iron Age settlement (early La Tene period) at Swallowcliffe Down, Swallowcliffe, Wiltshire. Excavated by Dr R C C Clay, 1925.
