Description

Identification note: All 3 barrows previously excavated by J Thurnam in 1860, see WAM VI, p.323.

Summary: 1 sherd of beaker pottery with comb impressed decoration, fine fabric, brown internally and orange externally, found near centre of mound under plough, from round barrow G61, Roughridge Hill, Bishops Cannings, Wiltshire, excavated by Mrs E Proudfoot, 1964.
