Description
Summary: The ceramic vessel assemblage found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. Sherds from context H2, the ashy fill of a T-shaped corn drier or malting oven, probably infilled in the later Roman period. The fill contained a single iron age sherd along with 6 Romano-British sherds, including a grey-ware flanged bowl.

The ceramic vessel assemblage from context H2, found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005.
