core flake

Description

Summary: Retouched core flake - roughout for some sort of tool. Probably neolithic but could be mesolithic. Found in the ploughwash of Cutting IIb. Perhaps a broken, small axe-chisel roughout, from a small field known as Oliver's Hill Field, Cherhill, Wiltshire, excavated by I F Smith and J G Evans, on behalf of the Wiltshire Archaeological and Natural History Society, 1967.
