Description

Content summary: Plan and Section of Proposed London, Newbury and Bath Railway. A folio of around 50 plans. inside page has signed receipt by the Clerk of the Peace of the County of Wiltshire. The route was proposed from the GWR Bath station to Newbury via Devizes, Pewsey, Hungerford but the bill presented in the House of Commons in 1846 was not proved, did not receive Royal Assent and was never built.
