Summary: 35 black and white photographs of the families A - K (King) of Froxfield, Wiltshire. 1-6 - The Alexander family. 1 and 2 - Mr Harry Alexander and his wife Sarah. 3 - Ellen Gallagher (nee Alexander) and friend. 4 - Mrs Ellen Gallagher with her children Alex and Eileen. 5 - Mrs Elsie Douglas (3rd gen.) in her Wren uniform. 6 - Mr Oliver Alexander in his Austin car, early 1950's. 7 - The Ashton family, New Zealand 1891, Mary Jane (2nd from left) and Issac William (seated centre) lived at Rudge Manor, Issac and his son (standing 2nd right) were gamekeepers on the Littlecote Estate, they emigrated in 1873. 8 and 9 - The Bowsher family. 8 - Mrs Bowsher with her daughters Maisie (left) and Milly (right), c. 1920's. 9 - Mrs Bowsher with her daughter Milly now Mrs Huntley and grand-daughter Maisie, Milly's daughter. 10 and 11 - The Chapman family. 10 - Mr Jasper Chapman and family, he was the village blacksmith. 11 - Ethel Chapman, daughter of Jasper. 12 - The Coldridge family, Mrs Alice Coldridge (centre), son Reg (right) and grand-daughter Jean (back). 13 - The Cook family, (l-r) Sid, Vic and Maggie, children of Ada nee Stroud. 14 - The Cooper family, Mrs Albert Cooper with daughters Ethel and Gwen. 15 - The Copp family, (l-r) Robert Copp (son), Mrs Copp, Mr Copp (gamekeeper at Littlecote), Kath Copp (daughter). 16-21 - The Dixon family. 16 - Mrs Harriet Dixon, eldest son Edgar on left, Arthur on her lap and Hilda, right. 17 - Mr Harry Dixon with with his wife and children, 1904/05. 18 - Hilda, Arthur, Kathleen and Winifred (seated). 19 - Kathleen Dixon with Spot, 1927. 20m - Mrs Harriet Dixon with Spot, 1927. 21 - Winifred with John Lane, son of Hilda, nee Dixon, early 1930's. 22-24 - The Dobson family. 22 - Mr and Mrs Joby Dobson. 23 - Jack Dobson with his sister Elsie (left), wife Ivy (right) and son Don. 24 - Elsie Alexander nee Dobson with her husband Oliver. 25-28 - The Hetter family. 25 - Mr Charlie Hatter (left), whilst a patient at Savernake Hospital, he was employed by The College. 26 - Alice Hatter, Charlie Hatter's daughter. 27 and 28 - Brenda Hatter, daughter of Charlie Hatter. 29-31 - The Hunter family. 29 - Tom Hunter and his wife, Gladys. 30 - Mrs Gladys Hunter. 31 - Mr Sid Hunter, their son, who was killed during an ambush in Malaya. 32-35 - The King family. 32 - Mr and Mrs Edward King, tenant farmers at Oakhill farm. 33 - Mr and Mrs King with Mrs Win Gower, Mrs King's sister-in-law, c. 1930. 34 - Mrs Gower, Mrs King's mother, The King's eldest son Eric, and Mr and Mrs King. 35 - Mr King, his son Eric, Mrs King, Barbara and Andrew, children of their younger son David and Sally the dog.
