Description

Summary: 1 Early Saxon iron ferrule, conical, pointed type, socket filled with wood extending to arround 15mm beyond the edge, one area of the outer surface appears to have further fibrous remains adhering to it, from the pagan Saxon cemetery called 'Black Patch' at Blacknall Field, Pewsey, Wiltshire, excavated by Ken Annable and the Wiltshire Archaeological and Natural History Society, 1969-1976.
