Description

Summary: base and side sherds, in a locally made coarse ware, of an arly medieval chemical oven, a large sag based cauldron, hand built with impressed thumb print strips encircling the base and quartering the pot vertically, from 107-109 Marlborough High Street, Marlborough, Wiltshire, excavated by Thamesdown Archaeological Trust, 1988.
