Summary: 12 black and white photographs of W H Brown's steam engines and vehicles, Devizes, Wiltshire. 1 and 2 - Launch engine made by W H Brown for his launch on the Kennet and Avon Canal photographed in the graden at "Beechcroft", c. 1895, (original and copy). 3 - W H Brown's Steam Brake No. 2, engineering 2/9/1898, Mr and Mrs Brown seated in the vehicle at "Beechcroft". 4 and 5 - Steam Car No. 1, Mr and Mrs Brown seated in the vehicle at "Beechcroft", (2 copies of same photograph). 6 - Mr William Henry Brown in his car, in his garden. 7 - Mr and Mrs Brown seated in Steam Car No. 1 at "Beechcroft". 8 and 9 - Two views of Stem Car No. 3 at "Beechcroft". 10 - view of vehicle, egistration number AM 336, anotated on reverse, "Registered as a Darracq BUT Daimler axles and whels, steering. NOT A DARRACQ OF ANY SORT, EVER", photographed at "Beechcroft". 11 and 12 - original and copy, photograph of a Brown and May Compound Tractor, No. 8650, c. 1911-1912, delivered on the 16th April 1912 to John Coohan (Kiohane), Clonakilty, Co. Cork, Randolph Bush, B and M's delivery driver is seen leaning against the front wheel. (His son later became the manager of Thatcham Road Transport Service).
