Description

Summary: 1 wedge-shaped piece of iron, flat on one side, rounded on other with a 'D'-shaped cross-section. 1 end tapering to a point, other flat with remains of possible flang, indicating it was originally mounted onto a shaft. Unknown use. From the Iron Age settlement at Casterley Camp, Upavon, Wiltshire. Excavated by Mr and Mrs B H Cunnington, 1909-1910.
