Identification note: Correspondence on reverse of 2 postcards, correspondence on front and reverse of 1 postcard. Postmarks DE.17.12, AP.9.??, JU.14.07.

Summary: 4 x views of The Strand, 1 x c1910 captioned "Calne - Had its origin in Saxon times. A Council was held here in 978 when the floor ofthe Council Chamber gave way, precipitating the advesaries of Achbishop Dunstan among the ruins, whist Dunstan and his supporters were uninjured."
