Description

Summary: 1 iron object, wedge shaped with a flat head tapering to a point. Identified as resembling a modern horseshoe nail but found below modern plough soil level. Possible punch for leather or metal working. From the Iron Age settlement at Casterley Camp, Upavon, Wiltshire. Excavated by Mr and Mrs B H Cunnington, 1909-1910.
