Summary: The ceramic vessel assemblage found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. Sherds from context H20, part of the fill of a post-hole containing 13 iron age sherds.

Research results

The ceramic vessel assemblage from context H20, found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. Context H20 was part of the fill of an iron age post hole found in trench H, and contained 13 iron age sherds and some animal bone.
