Description

Identification note: All 3 barrows previously excavated by J Thurnam in 1860, see WAM VI, p.323.

Summary: 10 rim and body sherds, from a collared urn, decoration 6 horizontal lines of twisted cord impressions, top of rim 2 concentric rings of twisted cord impressions, fabric soft granular with grog, yellow buff exterior, grey core, dark interior, found in Pit 10/11, from round barrow G62, Roughridge Hill, Bishops Cannings, Wiltshire, excavated by Mrs E Proudfoot, 1964.
