Description

Summary: 1 sherd of Windmill Hill ware in a fine fabric with very sparse white inclusions up to 2mm in length, with a smooth black/dark brown undecorated interior and exterior, found in layer 9 in the passage between the north east and south east chambers, from West Kennet Long Barrow, Avebury, Wiltshire, excavated by Professor Stuart Piggott and his staff and students at the Department of Prehistoric Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh, 1955-56.1
