Summary: 6 black and white photographs of Maria Louisa Davis Conness, first wife of Almeric Rich of Devizes Castle, Wiltshire. All studio portraits. 1 - head and shoulders portrait of the young lady, she wears a white/pale dress with ruffled chiffon neckline with a rose pinned to the right. Her hair is dressed in a bun. 2 - head and shoulders portrait of the young lady, what appears to be a corsage is on her right shoulder, anotated on the photograph, "M. Louisa Conness". 3 - full length portrait of the young lady seated on a wooden chair, fur rug at her feet, she is wearing a white/pale gown with ruffles around the neckline and hem. 4 - duplicate of 2 but glued to the inside of the backing paper from the frame, (discarded) is a piece of card on which is anotated, " A reframed photograph of Louisa (Conness) Rich taken in San Francisco the year of her engagement". 5 - duplicate of 3 but anotated on the reverse, "Louisa Conness 1892 ?????? Rich", and anotated on the inside of the backing card from the frame, (discarded), "Reframed photograph of Louisa (Conness) Rich taken in San Francisco the yearof her engagement. 1891 - 2". "Born June 24 1871 a lovely ???? of ?? to me always of ?????, joy, mirth. ???R". 6 - head and shoiulders portrait of the older lady, she is dressed in a black/dark dress with a ruffled lace neckline. Printed below the portrait, "Prince, 31 Union Square, New York. Penn. Ave. & 11th St., Wash. DC" and anotated on the reverse, "
