Research results

The ceramic vessel assemblage found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. Pottery sherds were recovered from a variety of contexts, including a probable Late Bronze Age-Iron Age midden, as well as the fill of a number of Late Roman graves and a corn drier.
