Description

Summary: The ceramic vessel assemblage found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. Sherds from context G26, material from from the fill of an ususually shaped pit. This context contained only two early iron age sherds.

Research results

The ceramic vessel assemblage from context G26, found during excavation of the Late Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age and Romano-British Settlement at 'Black Furlong', Blacklands, Calne Without, ahead of the excavation of a slurry pit in 2005. The material comes from the fill of an unusually-shaped pit, and contained only two Early Iron Age sherds.
