Summary: A series of newspaper articles, the main one being a web download of an article that appeared in the Spectator dated 11.10.2003 which was critical of the state of Devizes and its streets being taken over by the loutish and boorish behaviour of its younger generation. Resultant reaction form Devizes local is shown in an extract from the Gazette and Herald. There folows an exchange of correpsondence betwee the publican of the Lamb Inn, Cuttell, Ailsha; the Press Complaints Commission and Boris Johnson, the then editor of the Spectator.
