Description

Identification note: Photgraphs of a John Fowler Steam Road Locomotive (the B&W one was taken around Market Lavington/Upavon(?)) called "Lord Roberts" which was built in 1900 and delivered new to the brickworks (run originally by the Box Family & then the Holloways Bros. of West Lavington) in Market Lavington in Wiltshire. Its purpose was to deliver bricks /building materials etc. and to undertake general haulage duties. Around 1912 it appears the engine delivered all of the bricks used to build the then Central Flying School at Upavon.

Summary: one colour and one black and white digital photograph of a John Fowler Steam Road Locomotive called "Lord Roberts" which was built in 1900, and owned by Holloway Brothers, Master Builders, of Market Lavington, Wiltshire
