Description

Summary: 3 ornamental strips from a wooden casket, rib bones, complete, all same length, decorative scheme of double ring and dot on two strips, multiple transverse lines at one end and incised borders. Iron rivets survive on two, from Ludgershall Castle, a Medieval Royal Castle and hunting lodge in East Wiltshire, excavated by Peter Addyman and Southampton University, 1964-1972.
