Description

Identification note: catalogue card has "A very early state of the engraved map after P Crocker, engraved by Basire, published in Ancient Wilts, vol 1, p 170/171. It shows the barrows, the outline of the roads, and the scale, but no shading or lettering. The inserted numbers in MS are presumably by Crocker. For a later state of this map see 1982.8183" on the back
